Looking back, I wish I had started networking with seniors and joined clubs earlier in college. Being part of the BattleBots Club was a great experience, and had we began designing from the third semester, we could have achieved much more. One of my favorite professors was Sanjeev Sir, who taught us in the third semester and always encouraged out-of-the-box thinking. His logical problem-solving sessions boosted our analytical skills and confidence for interviews, and his teaching style truly stood out. The alumni network at NHCE is quite strong, with regular job referrals, alumni events, and even a dedicated sports day that keeps us connected. One of the most valuable lessons I carry from college is learning to overcome failures and focus on the process— Engineering taught us to handle both technical and personal challenges with resilience. If I could relive one day, it would be the day before QuantumX 2024, our technical fest. As the Robotics Head, I stayed late with my team setting up tracks, finalizing maps, and managing last-minute details. The energy, teamwork, and dedication of my juniors made it one of the most memorable experiences of my college life.

If I could go back, I’d make better use of the Innovation and Incubation Center at NHCE to explore prototyping, patents, and startup opportunities. I also wish I had joined more hackathons and industry events to build skills and network early on. My favorite professor was Dr. Sanjeev Sharma, whose engaging teaching and strong industry connections in the VLSI domain inspired me and helped shape my career path. While alumni interaction was limited during my time, NHCE is now actively building a stronger network through talks and events, which I believe will be a great resource for future students. One key skill I still use today is Time Management—juggling academics, projects, and activities which taught me how to stay organized and handle pressure, which is vital in my career. If I could relive one day, it would be our send-off party. It was emotional and joyful, filled with memories, laughter, and the bittersweet realization that our college journey was ending.

If I could give my past NHCE student self some advice, it would be to engage more deeply with the faculty and their research, as NHCE has some truly brilliant professors. I would have spent more time visiting faculty not just for academic doubts but to discuss broader concepts, learn about their research, and explore opportunities to assist. Attending research seminars and building strong relationships with professors could have opened doors to mentorship and career guidance. While it's hard to pick a single favorite professor, those who stood out were passionate about teaching, communicated clearly, offered supportive mentorship, and connected theory with real-world relevance. The NHCE alumni network is also quite strong, with an official association, active LinkedIn presence, and professors who maintain connections with alumni, which has been helpful for internships and job opportunities. Although I haven’t stayed in close touch since moving away after my bachelor’s degree, I’ve made valuable connections and plan to engage more in the future. One of the most valuable skills I gained at NHCE was the ability to break down complex problems into manageable parts, thanks to rigorous lab work, a strong focus on fundamentals, collaborative projects, and constant debugging practice. This structured problem-solving approach is something I use daily in my career. Among all the memorable moments, the day of our final mini-project presentation stands out—it was the culmination of hard work, teamwork, and learning, filled with a sense of accomplishment, camaraderie, and the bittersweet feeling of closing a chapter in our college journey.

The Alumni Association holds a special place in my heart, as it reminds me of the teachers who created a safe and supportive environment where we all felt valued, empowered, and motivated to reach our full potential. I believe the connection I had with the institution was quite strong, even though I haven’t stayed in touch much after moving away from the city following my bachelor’s degree. My academic journey was enriched by subjects like semiconductors and calculus, as well as the emphasis on manners, sports, cultural and art activities. The exposure to well-equipped labs helped me understand the practical applications of theoretical concepts and nurtured my problem-solving abilities. Among all the memories, my graduation ceremony stands out as the most cherished—it was a day filled with emotions, accomplishments, and moments I would love to relive again.

I can positively say NHCE has made me a better person. It has helped me develop a positive attitude towards my studies. Teachers are very caring and interested in students well-being. They make sure every class is fun, educational and interactive.

Though I had four years of bonding with the NHCE, it just feels like few days. Lucky to get such a friends n lecturers there. Had great time, learnt a lot......thank you NHCE....miss you....

Very supportive and very responsible about the growth of students

In my 4 years of journey here I had the greatest time and made some of the best friends a person could have. All of the teachers were AMAZING!!!! The faculty and staff at this institution are top rate.They all want their students to do well.A good place to explore yourself and excel.

My college days were unforgettable and in fact those days were happy days in my life. Teachers and professors were friendly and supportive. Management provided great opportunity to go forward in life.

The institute provided me the best possible platform and infrastructure to excel in my career interest. My ECE faculties made me Industry ready, while the Placement training helped me enhance my soft skills which made me standout from others. During my time at the institute apart from academics I was introduced to various technical workshops, seminars, webinars and career talk which provided me with immense knowledge.

Our college New Horizon is one of the best educational institutions out there that strives and succeeds in providing a holistic student experience while also ensuring that a rich culture and diversity is maintained. All the departments in the college are well equipped and knowledgeable, and as an ECE student I can confidently say that our department has always given the best exposure and preparation that a student would require in the corporate world. Last but not the least, the placement department of our college has been doing a spectacular job every year in placing students at well reputed companies and I’m very proud to say that our batch has had the highest placement % in our college history and I truly am proud to be a Horizonite!

Well, what feels like the end is often the beginning and that is what happened to me when I first came to NHCE. I started my journey as an ECE student. 4 years of my journey in NHCE has helped me discover my own strengths and weakness. I am extremely grateful to the ECE faculty who moulded me to be a better individual both professionally and personally. I would also like to extend my gratitude to the placement department for their constant assistance and guidance. The campus placement held at NHCE was a stepping stone as I got placed in Capgemini Engineering as a VLSI Engineer. NHCE gave me a lot more than expected. I learnt and experienced the most beautiful things and will always cherish those memories.

I am awfully delighted to say with pride that I am a New Horizonite. NHCE has equipped a perfect platform to all students to bring out their hidden talents in one or the other form. I would like to extend my gratitude towards HOD of ECE, all the faculty members and staff for their valuable guidance and support and helping me to grow professionally and personally which helped me a lot to achieve my goals. The placement department also trained me well and prepared me to face interviews. Even during lock down times, I managed everything via online mode. I’m very happy to say that I got placed in Automation Anywhere Software Pvt ltd as Associate Technical Support Engineer and in DXC Technologies as Associate Professional. Thank you NHCE.
