SYSTEM DESIGN LAB
Introduction
In technical education, it is highly required that the students are exposed to more of hands-on-practices, and are involved in the application part of the theoretical knowledge. But in the limited period of a semester, it is not possible to allocate more hours for the lab practices, as there is equal importance for acquiring theoretical knowledge. Therefore, it is planned to let the students to form a team, and the team is advised to implement a mini-project(either purely wired one or an embedded one).
Methodology:
- The students are asked toform a team of 2-to-4 members, in each lab.
- The title or the technical idea of the mini-project is the choice of the team itself.
- The resources are the text books, technical magazines and the internet.
- The working model is exhibited at the end of the semester.
- The students are credited with 15 marks as part of internal evaluation.
Expected outcome:
- Skill development in terms of assembly, soldering, wiring and testing.
- Identification of different electronic components in terms of their values and ratings.
- Knowledge acquisition of signal interaction and interfacing.
