INTRA TEAM LEARNING
Introduction
In the present education system, we are having students belonging to varied cultures, varied languages, varied lifestyles and varied intelligence quotient. Many times, in the classroom, the students form into a team on their own based on the aforementioned factors, and they remain that way for the complete period of graduation. Thus, the students having a lower IQ gradually develop a lower self-esteem, and they usually lack in academic as well as in communication skills. Hence, it is planned to divide the students in the class into teams having friends of their own choice, and to enhance team-learning.
Methodology:
- The top ten class toppers are chosen as team captains.
- The captains are asked to choose members for their particular team among their own friends, in a sequence of one captain after the other.
- Thus, the complete class is divided into 10 teams having enough diversity.
- The team members are advised to have interactive approach for their studies.
- The performance of each team is assessed after the internal tests.
- The top scoring teams are awarded with prizes.
Expected outcome:
- Better academic performance in both theory and practical assessments.
- Better communication skills in terms of interaction and in facing interviews.
- Development of a better personality in terms of goal-setting and teamwork.
