Alumni Talk on “Exploring Career Paths and Building Industry 

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted an International Alumni Talk on “Exploring Career Paths and Building Industry Skills” on 25th March 2026 at the Falconry Seminar Hall. The session was delivered by Mr. Naveen K. H, an esteemed alumnus from the 2015–2019 batch, who is currently working as a Senior Physical Design Engineer at Qualcomm. With over seven years of experience in the field of physical design, he possesses strong expertise in ASIC design flow, floor planning, power planning, placement, CTS, routing, and STA.

During the session, Mr. Naveen provided an in-depth overview of the IC design flow and explained the importance of timing analysis in chip development. He also highlighted the essential skill sets and industry expectations for students aspiring to build careers in the VLSI domain. The talk offered valuable insights into practical challenges and opportunities in semiconductor design, helping students understand how to prepare for placements in core technical roles.

The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students actively engaged with the speaker, seeking guidance on career pathways, required competencies, and placement strategies in the core electronics industry. Overall, the talk was highly informative and motivating, offering students a clearer direction for building successful careers in VLSI and related domains.
