Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted an International online alumni talk on “BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE-DATA WAREHOUSING” on 16th January 2021.The speaker, Abhijnan Mitra, is an alumni of ECE department(Batch-2014-2018).He is currently working as BI Application Developer @ NTT DATA GDS with 2+ years of experience.He majorly works with data, business data, interpreting and modeling it according to the business requirements and creating useful and meaningful visualizations for the business end-users using Data Virtualization Tools. The audience was III sem students. The session started with introduction to business intelligence i.e. transformation of raw data into meaningful and useful information for business purposes. The alumni discussed about business management issues, data warehousing, operational source systems and data access tools. Students interacted with alumni at the end of the session by taking suggestions and clarifying doubts on data warehousing. The session was overall very informative.
