SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS

The workshop started on 15^th December 2023 at 09:30 AM with Saraswati Vandana.

There were 29 students in total from the ECE Dept.

The dignitaries on the stage were Dr. Sowmya Narayanan, Director-Centre for Life Skills and Skill Development; Dr. Aravinda K: HoD-ECE, Convenor; Dr. Ashok K: Associate Head-IIIC; Dr. Arun Kumar: Associate Professor-ECE; Mr. Parag Jain: Asst. Professor-ECE, are Faculty coordinators and the resource persons are Vikram Singh; Chief Technology Officer, Gigayasa Wireless Pvt                Ltd, IITM Research Park, Chennai and Karthikeyan Sundaram; Sr. Sales Manager, Gigayasa Wireless Pvt               Ltd, IITM Research Park, Chennai.

Opening remarks for the workshop were given by Dr. Arun Kumar: Associate Professor-ECE, which was followed by an introduction to the program by Mr. Parag Jain: Asst. Professor-ECE, Faculty coordinator. He gave a glimpse of the activities going on in one day workshop in 5G Technologies.

The first session started off with the lecture of Vikram Singh; Chief Technology Officer, Gigayasa Wireless Pvt Ltd, IITM Research Park, Chennai. His talk was based on the new trends in the 5G technologies. Participants discussed over various aspects with the speaker and the discussion continued during the lunch break.

After the lunch break, Karthikeyan Sundaram; Sr. Sales Manager, Gigayasa Wireless Pvt               Ltd, IITM Research Park, Chennai gave a lecture on 5G Physical layer. This was followed by a lecture of 5G Spectrum and Studies in which he talked about his practical exposures based on his professional experiences in the areas of wireless communication, signal processing, radio spectrum and antenna design.

Participants interacted with the experts and among themselves during the session. This marked the end of one day workshop program.
