Expert Talk - Basics of Intellectual Property Rights and its Importance for Innovators and Entrepreneurs
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), in collaboration with NHCE Institution’s Innovation Council, hosted an expert talk titled “Basics of Intellectual Property Rights and their Importance for Innovators and Entrepreneurs.” The session featured Mr. Raja Manoharan, Founder of Enverdant Group of Companies, as the distinguished speaker.
The talk provided students with a comprehensive understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), covering key concepts such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. It emphasized the legal framework for IP protection, application processes, and enforcement mechanisms. Participants gained insights into identifying potential IP assets in their innovations, developing effective protection strategies, and exploring opportunities for IP commercialization.
