Recent Trends in CMOS Technology and VLSI Industry Practices
On October 13, 2025, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering hosted an expert lecture on “Recent Trends in CMOS Technology and VLSI Industry Practices”, delivered by Mr. Mahesh Devagiri, Director and Co-Founder of Nyxses India Pvt. Ltd. The session explored the evolution of CMOS scaling, challenges in deep submicron design, and emerging technologies like FinFET, GAAFET, and 3D ICs.
Mr. Devagiri emphasized the role of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools in modern chip development and shared insights into industry practices and career opportunities in VLSI design, verification, and fabrication. Attended by 124 fifth-semester students, the lecture was highly engaging and provided valuable exposure to current trends and real-world applications in the semiconductor industry.
